Episode 3

Hello everyone! I just wanted to send you all a reminder that episode 3 should be up and running tonight or tomorrow – there have been some unforeseeable distractions this weekend that have kept us from keeping up with our schedule, but we’re chugging along! We are working on getting multiple people together to start editing episodes so our editor doesn’t have to shoulder the burden by himself anymore. We’re doing the best we can and for being students in school with other things going on as well, I’d say that that counts for quite a lot.

The Purpose of Grimm’s Reaper

I thought it might be a good idea to give some insight into why Grimm’s Reaper was made and who it was made by:

We are a group of film students attending the University of Colorado at Denver. Part of the purpose of this project was to give ourselves a way to learn what the school wasn’t teaching us – how to work a hectic, time consuming schedule, work with actors, work around obstacles, all those things.

More than that, this is a locally made, independent project. Forget CU Denver for a moment: we made it out of our own pockets and we did it so that the world could understand what Colorado film makers, students or not, are capable of. We wanted this to be a calling card for those who worked on it, actors and behind the scenes workers alike.  For example, our lead actress, Tayla Ealom, has entered the crazy world of LA in the last few months, and I hope that this web series can be used to show casting agents what she’s capable of.

So please, please, please, please support us. We don’t expect money, or gifts. We only want you to watch and be entertained, and we want you to tell your friends so that *they* can be entertained, so that one day, maybe we can make it outside of Colorado and into the big film making world beyond it.

Welcome to Grimm’s Reaper

This blog is designed to keep you updated about everything Grimm’s Reaper -  which episodes are coming out, behind the scenes, pictures, video, everything.

For anyone who does not know what Grimm’s Reaper is, it is a 15 episode web series about several people who wake up in the middle of the woods, not sure how they got there or how to get out. They can’t contact their families and they  have no way of finding information about their whereabouts. To make matters worse, there is something called the Reaper after them, determined to be there when one of themThey only know of one person who may have answers, and they set out to find her, determined to understand their situation.

This web series was written by Hannah Fergesen, whose worpress blog can be seen here. It was produced and filmed by Benjamin Garst, whose website can be found here. Many talented cast and crew  from Denver were involved, and we were lucky to have them aboard.
